DETOX STAFF NURSE RN / LPN DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM
DETOX TECHNICIAN SPECIALIST ~ DETOXIFICATION PROGRAM
In search of Detox Technician Specialist to assist with the safety and security of clients, staff and facility. To provide alcohol and/or drug detoxification services. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts, may include weekends, holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.

General Responsibilities:

Deliver treatment services to all clients of the detox center
-
Perform client intake services, referral plans, monitor, evaluate, and record client progress toward treatment goals
-
Observe, monitor, and assess client alcohol/drug withdrawal and adhere strictly to medical protocols
-
Elicit information for assessment and evaluation
-
Provide written and verbal progress reports to referents
-
Individual counseling of clients as needed
-
Facilitate daily client groups
-
Dispense and record medications according to protocol and agency policies and procedures
-
Answer telephones, take messages and communicate to appropriate people
-
Establish and maintain a courteous and respectful relationship with the public, community, agencies, staff and clients of the program

Maintain clean and sanitary work area and facility
-
Report any maintenance issues or client issues that need addressed
-
Attend staff meetings and trainings
-
Maintain ethical and confidential behavior
-
Prepare reports as needed
-
Maintain records and reports according to standards and requirements of supervisors, Agency, Oregon Administrative Rules & Contracting Agencies
-
Perform other duties as assigned
In search of Detox Staff Nurse to assist with the safety and security of clients, staff and facility. To provide alcohol and/or drug detoxification services. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts, may include weekends, holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.
General Responsibilities:
-
Provide direct care and delegate care of clients as indicated by client needs.
-
Lear and utilize ASAM criteria to assess need for care, complete assessment to facilitate transfer of care.
-
Administer medications and treatment as directed by the standing orders and/or phone orders from attending Licensed Medical Professional.
-
Observe and record pertinent clinical information of the care and condition of the client.
-
Assesses patient's physical and psychological condition on an ongoing basis throughout the continuum of care
-
Formulate individualized nursing care plans and participate in client care conferences.
-
Dispense and record administration of medications according to prescription instructions and agency policy.
-
In conjunction with the addictions team, make referrals to appropriate hospitals and agencies based on the client’s needs.
-
Give and receive report at staff shift change.
-
Consult with other health team/care professionals for guidance in the development of the most appropriate health care plan for the client.
-
Confer with and assist the Licensed Medical Professional.
-
Skills to assess symptoms of detoxification using standardized measures such as CIWA or COWS.
-
Attend and participate in all in-service or training sessions.
-
Maintain all required training and continuing education necessary for licensing.
-
Maintain standards of ethical conduct.
-
Observe and maintain client confidentiality & privacy laws according to 42 CFR regulations.
-
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule. Holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
-
Other duties may be assigned to meet general or emergent business needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS REQUIRED:
-
Recovering Individuals must be able to document continuous abstinence under independent living conditions or recovery housing for the immediate past two (2) years.
-
Current Oregon Registered Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse License, in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
-
Minimum two (2) years working in a patient care setting.
-
Successfully pass criminal records check, compliant with ORS and contracting agencies.
-
Valid ODL with a driving record acceptable to our insurance provider.
-
Knowledge of the disease of alcoholism and drug addiction.
-
Basic knowledge of alcohol and drug treatment services.
-
Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to follow written and oral instructions.
-
Observe and maintain client confidentiality and privacy laws in accordance with HIPAA, 45 CFR and 42 CFR Part 2 Regulations at all times.
-
Maintain standards of ethical professional behavior as defined by the MHACBO Code of Ethics and EOAF standards.
-
Develop and maintain appropriate personal and professional boundaries with clients and staff.
-
Practice a non-judgmental attitude toward individual clients and staff.
-
Ability to exercise sound judgment, work independently and as part of a team.
-
Work in partnership with members of staff to accomplish agency and program goals and objectives.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE
-
Completion of a nursing education program that satisfies the licensing requirements of the Oregon State Board of Nursing for Registered Nurses.

Certification for CPR and First Aid.

RESIDENTIAL TREATMENT AIDE - RESIDENTIAL PROGRAM
In search of Residential Treatment Aide to assist with the safety and security of clients, staff and facility. Supervise client in various activities--Assist counseling staff in the education & intake process. This position requires flexibility to work various shifts, may include weekends, holidays and work during inclement weather will be required.

General Responsibilities:

Assist with day to day operations of the facility
-
Transport and supervise clients as necessary
-
Monitor chores for cleanliness and safety of the facility
-
Perform Intake Procedures & Personal Inventory for newly arriving individuals
-
Provide support to the clients during meals and other assorted residential responsibilities
-
Maintain a reserve of house forms such as Individual Weekly Schedule, Transportation Forms, etc.
-
Perform and monitor U.A. procedures as needed or necessary
-
Report any maintenance issues or client issues that need addressed
-
Attend staff meetings and trainings
-
Maintain ethical and confidential behavior
-
Prepare reports as needed
-

Desired Minimum Qualifications:
Employees in this position will need a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Have and maintain a clean driving record and be insurable by our company--Must be able to pass a criminal history check. Be able to work independently as well as with others--This job will require some flexibility to work various shifts and may include weekends. Employees in this position have to be able to exercise sound judgment and be capable of independent and responsible decision making. Regular attendance and punctuality required.
EORC is a drug free workplace. Oregon Administrative Rules for residential treatment facilities, detoxification centers and outpatient treatment require that each and every counseling and treatment employee have a minimum of 2 years verified clean and sober living in an independent living situation.
